Pourquoi?

Afin de promouvoir les contacts entre les groupes de recherche soutenus par la Fondation MEDIC, chaque année une rencontre est organisée, au cours de laquelle les membres du consortium présentent les derniers résultats de leur recherche ainsi que leurs idées pour de nouveaux projets. Le but de cette rencontre est d'intensifier les échanges et si possible de stimuler de nouvelles activités auxquelles différents groupes du consortium collaboreraient. En règle générale, (les membres) le Conseil scientifique consultatif y participe et utilise ce cadre pour s'engager dans des discussions avec les scientifiques qui présentent leurs travaux pour évaluer la progression des projets. La Journée MEDIC n'est pas ouverte qu'aux investigateurs principaux mais aussi aux scientifiques juniors travaillant dans le groupe (postdocs et étudiants diplômés).

Quand et où?

La Journée MEDIC est organisée en principe à Lausanne, elle consacre un après-midi aux rapports scientifiques et discussions, suivi le soir d'un dîner informel puis le lendemain d'une journée complète d'échanges scientifiques. Le programme de la journée illustre l'éventail des activités déployées par les partenaires du consortium.
